Premium 100% Softwood Pellets

Our softwood is an optimal wood pellet. When pelletized, the difference between softwood and hardwood fiber is minimal. The density of the pellet makes a bigger difference than the species of wood. All of our tests have shown the softwood to have the lowest ash and moisture and the highest BTU making it a Super Premium Pellet. Our 100% Softwood Super Premium Pellets meet or exceed the PFI* Fuel Grade Requirements for Super Premium pellets based on the following independent test results:

Heat Value Avg. 8,350 BTUs
Moisture Content 3 - 5% (PFI Super Premium Standard < 8%)
Ash Content <0.5%
Density >40%

100% Pine Animal Bedding Pellets

Our 100% pine pellet bedding has exceptional moisture absorption and neutralizes odors at the start. When wet the softwood pellets puff up and absorb more than three times its weight in liquid keeping maintenance cost and time at a minimum. The pellets are naturally hypo allergenic and bacteria free reducing respiratory ailments as well as insect and disease infestation. The softwood pellets are also environmentally friendly and biodegradable.  Once soiled, the bedding and manure disposal can be used as compost offering a secondary use. Animal bedding pellets are sold bagged or in bulk.

Sawdust Bedding

We also offer 100% softwood sawdust for your animal bedding needs. Our sawdust is made by grinding wood chips into a size that will process through the pellet mills to make wood pellets. We extract the sawdust just before it is sent into the mills where it would normally be pelletized. Sawdust is sold bagged and is made of FSC™ Mixed Sources or in bulk.

Seaway Timber Harvesting Mulch

Curran Renewable Landscaping Mulch

There are many benefits to using wood mulch in your landscaping. Mulch helps your plants retain water longer and keeps roots cooler to reduce the amount of watering needed. It also looks great, is easier to use than rocks and is biodegradable. Ours is available in Black Cedar, Brown Cedar and Red Cedar. For someone who is looking for organic mulches without dye's we make a Natural Cedar and a Pine/ Hemlock mulch which is naturally a warm brown in color.

Some special notes about mulch products:
Whether it is natural or colored, mulch will start to fade to a light gray color over time because of sun, rain, snow and wind. To keep your mulch “bright,” we recommend new mulch every 1 - 2 years.

To decide how many bags or yards of mulch you need for your project, calculate the approximate square footage of the total area you are covering. One three-cubic-foot bag of mulch will cover 12 square feet with three inches of mulch. And, a yard of mulch will cover 108 square feet.

If you live in an area prone to termite infestation, treat your mulch before using with a termite defense product.
